Household and construction equipment made in Germany is considered the standard of quality and reliability. Therefore, when choosing a cleaning technique, you should pay attention to AEG vacuum cleaners. Let's consider their features and types in more detail.

About the brand

AEG was founded in Berlin in 1883, making it one of the oldest European manufacturers of household appliances. The brand name stands for "General Electric Company". In the first years of its existence, the company was mainly engaged in the production of incandescent lamps and the development of current transmission technologies.

Over the long years of the company's existence, its employees have invented many devices that are familiar today, for example:

  • three-phase electric motor;
  • hairdryer;
  • electric kitchen stove;
  • fridge;
  • automatic washing machine;
  • Heat pump.

    In 1967, AEG merged with Telefunken, and the head office was moved to Frankfurt am Main. In 1994, AEG's home appliance manufacturing facilities were acquired by the Swedish giant Electrolux. Since then, under this brand, products of the same name, manufactured at factories in Germany, have been distributed.

    Electrolux currently adheres to the strict requirements of EU environmental and green technology legislation. That's why The AEG technology is characterized by low power consumption and high protection class of the installed HEPA filters. Even household models are characterized by a large reservoir for collecting dust. This extends the operating time of the device before cleaning the dust collector, but also noticeably increases its dimensions in comparison with analogues.

    Varieties and models

    Today the company offers a wide range of vacuum cleaners for domestic and industrial use, including construction options. Most household models have a classic layout, where a filter bag is used as a container for collected waste. Consider the most popular and current models of the company, intended for use in everyday life.

    VX6-2-CB-P

    With a motor power of 0.8 kW, this unit has a 3.5 liter bag. Its radius of action (cord length + hose length) is 9 meters. Such characteristics make it possible to clean even the most spacious rooms with it. Despite the fact that the model is considered one of the simplest, it has a floating power regulator and a bag full indicator.

    VX7-2-CR-A

    It differs from the previous model in the power consumption reduced to 0.65 kW, due to which the noise level was reduced from 76 to 70 dB. Due to the use of a 9-meter cord with auto-reverse, the vacuum cleaner's radius of action is increased to 12 m. The combination of ergonomic brushes and a 360 ° rotation system allows you to clean rooms with a lot of furniture and leave no dust streaks in the corners.

    VX8-4-CR-A

    Due to the use of unique nozzles, the noise level of this powerful (0.75 kW) model is even lower than that of the previous one (it is only 58 dB). The model is equipped with a telescopic tube AeroPro with optimized aerodynamic characteristics, S-bags, which retain their filtering properties even when they are almost full, and an electronic indicator of the full dust collector.

      There are also household vacuum cleaners with a more modern layout in the assortment of the company. For example, among the options with a cyclone filter, the most popular model is the AEG AE 7811 Cyclon Power, characterized by a power of 700 W, a filter volume of 1.8 liters and a cleaning radius of 7.2 m.

      The company also tried its hand at producing robotic vacuum cleaners.One such model is the AEG RX9 Saugroboter, which has a power of 0.5 kW and a bag with a volume of 0.5 liters. An optimometric system is used for navigation.

      Of the semi-professional models that can be used both in everyday life and in production, it is worth noting several options.

      NT 1200

      Vacuum cleaner with a cyclone filter with a volume of 16 liters, a collection function and a solid power of 1.2 kW without the possibility of adjusting the suction power.

      NT 1500

      Model with a classic cylindrical design, five wheels and a filter bag. It features 1.5 kW, a large bag volume (26 liters) and a 20 liter reservoir for liquid suction.

      AP 250 ECP

      With a power of 1.4 kW, this variant has a bag volume of 25 liters.

        A characteristic feature of models for construction purposes is the presence of a power tool connection mode that synchronizes the start of the vacuum cleaner with the inclusion of equipment connected to it. The best known are several AEG vacuum cleaners that have this function.

        AP2-200 ELCP

        With a power of 1 kW, it is equipped with a bag with a volume of 21 liters, has a dry cleaning and liquid suction modes.

        RSE 1400

        It features a 1.4 kW power, a 25 liter bag volume, a two-electrode overfill protection system for the collected liquid and a flexible electronic control system with continuously variable power control and a soft start function.

        AP-300

        One of the few construction vacuum cleaners in which a 30 liter aqua filter is used as a garbage reservoir. Has the functions of dry and wet cleaning, as well as collecting liquid. The power of the device is 1.5 kW. Equipped with a Clear-Press filter cleaning system.

        Selection Tips

        If you need a vacuum cleaner for cleaning industrial premises, then you should purchase the version with the highest power, large dust collector and liquid suction function, for example, NT 1200 or AP 250 ECP. If the ability to work with a power tool on a construction site is important, then the RSE 1400 and AP-300 models are worth considering. For domestic use, it is best to purchase quiet models with stepless power control, such as the VX8-4-CR-A.

        But the robotic vacuum cleaners of the German company are inferior in most indicators to their counterparts manufactured by Karcher. This is especially true of the navigation system - the optics cope with it worse than the IR sensors installed on black and yellow equipment.

        Reviews

        Owners of both AEG household and industrial vacuum cleaners give them a positive rating. As the main advantages of these devices, the authors of the reviews note a long service life, resistance to wear and damage, a large dust collector volume, a decent cable length and a wide range of nozzles supplied in the kit.

        The main disadvantage of German technology, most users consider the rather large dimensions and significant weight, which makes it difficult for long-term use in a confined space. Some reviewers also note that the noise level of AEG construction vacuum cleaners is slightly higher than that of competitors with comparable power. But household models, on the contrary, are noticeably quieter than products of other companies.
