Printing documents from a computer and laptop now does not surprise anyone. But files that deserve to be printed on paper can be found on a number of other devices. Therefore, it is important to know how to connect a tablet to a printer and print texts, graphics and photos, and what to do if there is no contact between devices.

Wireless ways

The most logical idea is to connect a tablet to a printer. via Wi-Fi. However, even if both devices support such a protocol, the owners of the equipment will be disappointed. Without a complete set of drivers, no connection is possible.

It is recommended to use the PrinterShare package, which takes care of almost all the laborious work.

But you can try and similar programs (however, choosing and using them is more likely the lot of experienced users).

Potentially you can use and Bluetooth... The real difference only concerns the kind of protocol used. Even differences in connection speed are unlikely to be detected. After connecting the devices, you will need to activate the Bluetooth modules on them.

Further algorithm of actions (for example PrinterShare):

  • after starting the program, click on the "Select" button;
  • looking for active devices;
  • wait for the end of the search and connect to the desired mode;
  • through the menu indicate which file should be sent to the printer.

    Subsequent printing is very simple - it is done by pressing a couple of buttons on the tablet. PrinterShare is preferred because it is ideal for this process. The program is different:

    • fully Russified interface;
    • the ability to connect devices both via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as efficiently as possible;
    • excellent compatibility with email programs and Google documents;
    • full customization of the printing process for a wide range of parameters.

    How to connect via USB?

    But printing from Android is possible and via USB cable. A minimum of problems will arise when using gadgets that support OTG mode.

    To find out if there is such a mode, the proprietary technical description will help. It is useful to refer to special forums on the Internet. In the absence of a normal connector, you will have to buy an adapter.

    If you need to connect several devices at once, you need to buy a USB hub. But in this mode, the gadget will be discharged faster. You will need to keep it close to the outlet or use PoverBank... The wire connection is simple and reliable, you can print any document you want. However, the mobility of the gadget is rarely reduced, which does not suit everyone.

    In some cases it is worth using HP ePrint app... It is necessary to select the program for each version of the tablet separately. It is strongly discouraged to search for the application anywhere other than the official website.

    You will have to create a unique mailing address ending with @hpeprint. com. There are a number of limitations worth considering:

    • the total size of an attachment with all files is limited to 10 MB;
    • no more than 10 attachments are allowed in each letter;
    • the minimum size of processed images is 100x100 pixels;
    • it is impossible to print encrypted or digitally signed documents;
    • you cannot send files from OpenOffice to paper in this way, as well as engage in duplex printing.

    All printer manufacturers have their own specific solution for printing from Android. So, sending images to Canon equipment is possible thanks to the PhotoPrint application.

    You shouldn't expect much functionality from it. But, at least, there are no problems with the output of photographs. Brother iPrint Scan also deserves attention.

    This program is convenient and, in addition, simple in its structure.A maximum of 10 MB (50 pages) is sent to paper at a time. Some pages on the Internet are displayed incorrectly. But no other difficulties should arise.

    Epson Connect has all the necessary functionality, it can send files via e-mail, which allows you not to be limited to one or another mobile platform.

    Dell Mobile Print helps to print documents without problems by transferring them over a local network.

    Important: This software cannot be used in an iOS environment.

    Printing is possible on both inkjet and laser printers of the same brand. Canon Pixma Printing Solutions works confidently only with a very narrow range of printers.

    It is possible to output texts from:

    • files in cloud services (Evernote, Dropbox);
    • Twitter;
    • Facebook.

    Kodak Mobile Printing Is a very popular solution.

    This program has modifications for iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone. Kodak Document Print makes it possible to send for printing not only local files, but also web pages, files from online repositories. Lexmark Mobile Printing is compatible with iOS, Android, but only PDF files can be sent to print. Both laser and discontinued inkjet printers are supported.

    It is worth noting that Lexmark equipment has special QR codesthat provide easy connection. They are simply scanned and entered into the branded application. From third-party programs, you can recommend Apple AirPrint.

    This app is phenomenally versatile. A Wi-Fi connection will allow you to print almost anything that can be displayed on the smartphone screen itself.

    Possible problems

    Difficulties when using HP printers may arise if the gadget does not support the proprietary Mopria protocol or has Android OS lower than 4.4. If the system does not see the printer, check that Mopria mode is enabled; if this interface cannot be used, you must use the HP Print Service printing solution. Disabled Mopria plug-in, by the way, often leads to the fact that the printer is in the list, but you cannot give a command to print. If the system is connected for network printing via USB, the printer must be carefully configured to send information over the network channel.

    Serious difficulties arise if the printer does not support USB, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The way out is to register the printing device with Google Cloud Print. This service allows you to provide remote connection to printers of all brands from anywhere in the world. but it is best to use devices of the Cloud Ready class. When direct cloud connection is not supported, you will need to connect the printer through your computer.

    However, if you already have a PC or laptop, remote connection via the service is far from always justified. In a one-off format, this can be done by flipping the file to disk and then sending it to print from your computer. Normal operation is possible when using a Google account and Google Chrome browser. In the browser settings, they select the settings, and then go to the advanced settings section. The lowest point will be Google Cloud Print.

    After adding a printer, in the future you will have to always keep the computer on which the account was created on.

    Of course, under it you also need to log in from the tablet, which contains the required file. Google Gmail for Android does not have a direct print option. The way out is visiting the account through the same browser. When you press the "print" button, it switches in Google Cloud Print, where no problems should arise.
