The dishwasher is simple and easy to use. But first, it is important to read the instructions for use and follow a number of mandatory rules. From our publication you will find out whether it is possible to open the dishwasher door after starting the unit.

Dishwasher rules

The unit should be loaded with dishes, cutlery and other kitchen utensils strictly in the appropriate baskets and trays. Usually, large items are placed at the bottom of the dishwasher, and small items are placed at the top.

Forks, spoons, knives are placed separately, and if such a tray is not provided in the machine, it is better to purchase it yourself and complete the washing chamber.

Powder (gel, tablets) for washing, rinse aid and salt are also poured (poured) into special compartments specifically designed for each component separately.

Next, we will give some more recommendations for using the dishwasher:

  • before loading the dishes into the sink into the machine, it must be cleaned of food debris;
  • do not place utensils too close to each other and do not overload the receivers - otherwise, you can get a poor-quality sink;
  • long objects (ladle, slotted spoon and others) are placed horizontally;
  • for sharp-nosed objects, including knives, there are separate trays, and you need to use them for their intended purpose;
  • before pressing the "start" you have to select the desired mode and check that the blades move freely.

Opening the door while the dishwasher is running means disrupting the entire process programmed for washing. But it will not be so easy for you to do it. To avoid unforeseen situations, many modern devices of this type have appropriate blockers.

When the dishwasher can automatically block its operation:

  • in the absence of access to electricity (fuse blown, electrical cable damaged, and so on);
  • if the door of the washing chamber is poorly closed, the unit will not start up - you must try to close the machine again;
  • when the hose is clogged or there are problems with the aquasensor (in the first case, it needs to be cleaned, in the second, it is possible to change the washing mode);
  • when the aquastop worked - check the equipment for leaks.

For these and other grindings, the dishwasher may issue error codes. All this is indicated in the instructions and rules for the use of each unit.

Before use, you need to study all the recommendations from the manufacturer and follow them - this way the dishwasher will last longer.

Safety engineering

When operating dishwashers, it is almost impossible to injure yourself, nevertheless, safety precautions must be observed in this matter:

  • when connecting the device, provide grounding - this is necessary both for the normal operation of the unit itself and for its safe use by the owners;
  • it is better to pour (fill in) the detergent with rubber gloves;
  • if the machine is already in operation, do not touch its heating part;
  • if any malfunction is detected during washing the dishes, the device must be stopped and disconnected from the mains, and then call the master or make repairs ourselves, if you understand such structures;
  • do not rush to open the door immediately after the unit has finished working - the dishes may still be hot and there is a risk of scalding.

For the same reason, it is not recommended to open the door of the machine during its operation. If there is no blocker, such an action can lead to a flood in the kitchen, and hot spray will fly at the owner. Each dishwasher user should follow these simple rules, regardless of which brand and model the appliance is in the kitchen.

Useful Tips

If, after activating the program and starting the dishwasher, you still find a few more dirty coffee cups or plates and do not want to rinse them by hand, you can try to "shove" them into the unit. Usually, according to the manufacturers of modern models of dishwashers, such an action is possible.

Consider in what cases and how this can be done when the machine is in operation.

  • It is not always possible to open the door by simply pulling it. - in most cases, the locking device will work. To do this, you need to stop the sink and then reload the device. Be prepared that the process will have to be restarted, that is, re-program the machine to the desired mode, the previous program will "get lost" when the door is opened.
  • It is good if there is a special emergency stop button on the dishwasher. - such copies are more expensive, but they provide more opportunities. By stopping the device in this way, almost immediately (after 3-4 seconds) you can open the door and add the remaining dirty dishes to the machine. However, the following nuance must be taken into account: such a "number" will pass only 30-40 minutes after the start.
  • The unit will "allow" to open the door during operation if it has a special sensor for resetting programs. But if the sensor does not work, water will simply flow out onto the floor, and a flood cannot be avoided. You need to be prepared for this - this is already a malfunction that needs to be eliminated.

Nevertheless, experts urge owners to take their time before loading kitchen utensils into the dishwasher, so as not to forget dirty dishes and not have to stop the running process after the start of washing.

It is better not to touch the unit during operation and press the “stop” only in case of emergency when a malfunction is detected.

By the way, at the end of the wash, the machine will automatically unlock the door after 2-3 minutes., but, as mentioned above, wait until the dishes have completely cooled down and only then release the unit. If after the end of the wash you cannot open the device, you will have to call the wizard - we are talking about the failure of the locking system.
