When choosing a material, it is very important to pay attention to the type of board or timber, since this will change the cost of raw materials. And the price of the required volume, respectively, is calculated by multiplying by a cubic meter. It is worth remembering that when calculating the cubic capacity, it is customary to round numbers to whole values. Therefore, the price of 1 board of a specific material may be different than the entire price per cubic meter. In addition, the length of the board also matters. It is good if you manage to purchase a board or timber with a standard length of 6 or 4 m, but the error can be different, and it is not taken into account when taking into account the volume and forming a pricing policy. Ultimately, the price of lumber can increase by 1-2%. This error must be taken into account when buying a large number of boards or timber for construction.

With a bar and an unedged board, the pricing policy is formed in exactly the same way, the values ​​are rounded, and the average width at the ends is taken to calculate the volume. This assumes that the length of the material will be approximately the same. All calculations can be carried out using a regular tape measure, but when measuring timber and different types of boards, there are always subtleties.

As for the boards, it is important to understand this: edged board and unedged board differ from each other. And each of these types has its own standard sizes and its own field of application. For an uncut board, the thickness can be from 25 to 50 mm with a standard length of 6 meters. Such boards are well suited for temporary fences and utility rooms. They are used as a base for cladding with other finishing materials and are additionally processed.

The result is certainly rounded to an even number, but in order not to carry out calculations manually, you can always use special tables.
