After the birth of a child in the family, many questions arise, one of which is what to do with the baby? The solution comes naturally - you need a sandbox. During the construction of magic castles or various sand cakes, the first creative projects will be born in the child's head, and finger work will develop fine motor skills. In other words, it is a great place for the baby to play and develop.

Peculiarities

Before proceeding with the implementation of the adopted decision, get acquainted with the features and types of sandboxes.

  • The simplest ones are usually round or square, but without sharp corners. Their area is no more than 5 square meters. Most often, such structures are equipped with covers of various shapes to keep the sand dry and to avoid various troubles - they provide protection from animals and plants.
  • Themed sandboxes will impress any child - their appearance can be varied. Most often it is an imitation of vehicles (for example, yachts or trucks, boats or boats), but can be of any shape. Games in them develop the child's imagination and communication skills well. It is interesting and fun to be a sailor or a driver at such an early age.
  • Courtyards. They represent a whole complex of play or developmental elements, including a sandbox for children's play in Easter cakes, a small stylized house with a ladder and a slide, horizontal bars and even rope crossings. Each element in such a design is unique in its own way and has a specific function, and all together can be called simply - a sandbox with a house.

Variants

The complex of play buildings, among which there is the simplest sandbox, will please not only a 2-3-year-old kid, but also perfectly entertain an older child - 10-12 years old. Before starting the construction of a sandbox near the house or in the country, you need to make a small drawing or drawing, where it is worth indicating which items will be included in the sandbox with a house. You can involve a child in the creation of a masterpiece, find out about his dreams and preferences, and also discuss the design option with him.

It is necessary to select the elements that will be placed on the site, taking into account children's interests and all safety standards. Various horizontal bars, wall bars, rope and rings are very useful for the physical development of children. To them you can add a variety of bracing options and a real climbing wall, and this greatly diversifies the child's leisure time when he walks. Such a house with a sandbox will become not only a place for games, but also an excellent complex where the kid will do exercises.

Balance swing and suspension options can be positioned on strong piles - it is important to make them seat belts or buy street models from which the child will not fall. It can be difficult to constantly monitor restless children, and so parents can be sure that the baby will remain intact. You can also install a play house on a tree in a house with a sandbox - this is generally the dream of every boy.

It would be appropriate to attach a variety of slides with retractable elements or a pipe, because then the descent from the house will bring additional pleasure.

It is good for several children to play together in a playground in the yard, covering it at the top with a canopy that protects from rain or the scorching sun. A sandbox and spring rocking will look great here. The size of the sandbox depends on the number of children - from 3 to 10 meters squared.Any shape, you can opt for square or round, or you can design it in the style of a boat, spaceship or castle.

What materials can it be?

The complex can be made of such a plan from different materials - plastic, wood, metal, or several at once. The material must be selected carefully, and then carefully prepare it for work - the tree can leave splinters, the metal gets very hot in summer, and the plastic can crack under the weight of the child. Before deciding which one is better to choose, you need to evaluate the pros and cons of each.

Plastic complexes are good for the lightness of their constituent parts, they are easy to assemble and install, do not rust or rot. Brightness and the ability to create different shapes is their distinctive feature. They are inexpensive and not hazardous to health at all. But at the same time they lose color and are adapted only for light weight.

Wooden structures are always beautiful, safe and durable. It is important to thoroughly varnish them and polish all the wood components so that the child is not injured. Another drawback is the price, because the tree itself is expensive, and if you make a house to order, it will seriously hit your pocket.

The most durable are metal structures, they even withstand adults. Here are just rust distressing. Hot in the sun and icy in the cold, they are not comfortable in all seasons. There is no unambiguity in the choice of material - the decision is yours.

How to do it?

You can make a sandbox with a house in your summer cottage in several ways:

  • adapt the materials at hand for it;
  • buy a ready-made structure;
  • build with your own hands.

In the latter case, everything can be built without such large costs. The construction of complex complexes requires accurate calculations and drawings, a variety of devices and tools. It's best to start with the simplest thing - building a simple wooden sand container. In order to do this, very little time and materials are required. It is important to decide on the dimensions and draw a diagram on which the sandbox will be depicted from several sides.

After the drawing is ready, you need to choose a good site away from trees so that the sandbox is visible from anywhere on the site or from home. The child needs constant supervision, and for this it is not necessary to sit with him in the sand. The next step is purchasing materials.

They can be bought at any hardware store or found in your stocks, in the remains of the construction of a bathhouse on the site or repair of a country house. You will need a wide board, bars, geotextiles or a sheet of plywood. It is worth buying screws, corners and nails, as well as preparing a screwdriver and a saw, a hammer, a level and a tape measure for work.

Let's move on to preparing the site.

  1. We remove the soil to a depth of 25-30 cm.
  2. We make a layer of coarse gravel and sand, it will be a drainage.
  3. We lay geotextiles, in extreme cases, a dense plastic film or a sheet of plywood with several holes is suitable.
  4. We install bars of 450x50x50 mm in the corners of the pit, which will be the support of the future structure, after treatment with an antiseptic and coating with bitumen by 15-20 cm, we bury it in the ground.
  5. We nail in sidewalls 30 cm wide, made from one board or several narrow ones.
  6. Install horizontally to the edges of the seat.
  7. We pour about 0.3 m3 of river sand, clean, without clay and other impurities.

The size and configuration of the sandbox can vary. You can make a house either on a large tree next to the sandbox, or raise it on its legs from the bars on the site. The drawing will not take much time. It is important to take into account that children inside will jump and run, so it is on the props that you need to pay special attention.

If the house is square, then on 4 bars it is necessary to attach a plate of thick boards nailed to each other. They must be fixed with corners and self-tapping screws. The walls can be of high quality plywood or planks. It is important to cut out 3 wide windows through which you can see what the baby is doing and the door - it can be done on hinges or simply by hanging a transparent curtain in place of the hole.

The roof is made of the same materials, it is better to make a gable roof, but a pitched roof with a slight slope is also suitable. On top, you need to put slate or metal tiles of the color that the baby will like. A child can do the arrangement of the house.

If the design is large or the house contains several rooms, you can glue the walls inside with wallpaper - simple white ones are perfect, because the child can draw whatever he wants on them. It is best to put a small table and an ottoman inside, but if there is not enough space, a couple of pillows will be enough for the child. You can hang curtains on the windows, and raise a rope ladder to the door, which will descend directly into the sandbox.

Beautiful examples

There are many ideas for more complex structures for your site. It is best to consider the most beautiful options, and then choose from them something of your own and combine in one job.

Games in the sandbox you built will subsequently help your child learn perseverance, patience, and a creative approach to their work. And there is no need to talk about the benefits for physical development and health.

If, with all this, you attract a child to cooperation during the construction process, then a close emotional connection with him is provided to you.
