Brick-like walls in the interior of an office or apartment are very popular. It is possible to arrange them in this style today at the stage of finishing the premises, regardless of what material the base itself was originally built from. Work can be done using brick-like clinker tiles, which are used for interior decoration, and not only for facades. The material itself has many advantages, which will be discussed below.

This finishing material has several positive qualities. It differs in:

It is made from natural raw materials, which is shale clay. Clinker tiles are resistant to ultraviolet light and do not fade in the sun, and are also not influenced by climatic conditions and other factors, when heated, they do not ignite and do not emit substances harmful to humans or nature into the air.

Due to its dense structure, this material does not absorb water, mold or mildew does not appear on it, which is important when decorating rooms with high humidity.

As noted by experts who have been working with this material for many years, it has practically no drawbacks, with the exception of the high cost of the tile. It also differs in the texture of the coating, and therefore it can be:

A special feature is the fact that today clinker tiles are manufactured in the form of separate elements for finishing corners - this, in turn, makes it possible to speed up and simplify laying in these places, as well as create a more attractive appearance of the finished surface. With the help of this material, you can replace the wall decoration with ordinary brick in those places where it is technically impossible.

The thickness of the wall tile allows it to be used on a variety of surfaces, including wood and plasterboard. Before starting the installation, it is recommended to make the base in the form of a crate and fix it on the wall with self-tapping screws, while additional work is not required.

To make the tile better fixed to the surface, special recesses are made on the inside of it, which are filled with cement and securely fix the product on the wall. With the help of this device, you can easily make an interior in a different style, update it, warm the room, and also use it as an aesthetic decoration.

The tile can be used for a variety of purposes.

• Technical. In production, in the manufacture of tiles, dyes are not added to their composition, and such specimens are used to decorate laboratories or industrial premises. The lineup of this material has many different variations, which differ not only in shape and color, but also in size, which in some cases makes it difficult for an inexperienced user to choose. The length of such a tile can be from 210 to 240 mm, and the width - from 50 to 113 mm.

Facing the surface with this material is carried out in the same way as that used for laying facade bricks. The material is attached to the base with a special glue, to which you can add various dyes or plasticizers to improve the properties. Grouting is used to process the seams, and the base requires additional preparation for the work.

Preparation of the base. Clinker tiles for aged bricks are mounted only on prepared walls. They do not need to be smooth in order to better support the weight of the product.

With the help of a cord, markings are made on the wall, on which a separate tile will lie. Regardless of how carefully the marking is done and the surface is prepared, it will be necessary to cut off some of the tile elements during laying. For this, special devices of a mechanical type are used.

All work must be done in rooms with room temperature. If these works are carried out on the street, then the weather should be cool so that the tile does not absorb all the moisture from the wall from the solution.

A mixture up to 1 cm thick is applied to the wall surface. Then the solution is spread over the surface with a spatula. The tiles are installed horizontally in rows. Limiters are mounted between the individual plates to maintain the distance. After a certain time, these restraints are removed, and the seams are sealed with mortar.

After the tiles have dried, the seams must be rubbed. To do this, you need to dilute the appropriate composition in water according to the instructions for use. Grouting is done with a rubber spatula.

After carrying out such work, the surface is not afraid of moisture, it will not be washed out under the influence of negative external factors.If you need to carry out finishing work with this material indoors, then the corners can be decorated with various elements or processed with technical silicone.

Experts note that clinker tiles do not always fit into the interior, since the special texture, styling and shades make the use of this material individual. Even if you choose the right tiles in accordance with the style of the overall interior, the clinker will still stand out against their background, indicating its own style.

A special feature is that when using such a material, it does not create pronounced vertical and horizontal lines, but it makes it possible to structure the surface, and therefore it is important to consider when choosing such products.

Only those rooms that differ in a large area need to be completely finished with clinker. If you decorate a small room, then it will visually become even smaller.

Some patterns can also be used to decorate a kitchen or bathroom. It is possible to choose tiles of the same color for surface finishing or to combine different colors with each other.
