During construction work, everyone tries to choose the best materials, because they guarantee the construction of quality and durability. These requirements apply to polyurethane foam. Many experienced builders advise using Tytan professional polyurethane foam, the production of which originated in the USA and over time gained popularity around the world. Thanks to the use of modern technologies, the quality of products always remains at a high level, and due to the large number of branches in many countries, the price is stable and quite acceptable.

Specifications

Considering the main parameters, it must be remembered that they are common to the entire line of Tytan polyurethane foam:

  • Able to withstand temperatures from -55 to + 100 degrees in solidified form.
  • Initial film formation begins 10 minutes after application.
  • You can cut off the hardening foam one hour after application.
  • For complete solidification, you need to wait 24 hours.
  • The average volume from a 750 ml cylinder in finished form is about 40-50 liters.
  • It hardens when exposed to moisture.
  • The foam is resistant to water, mold and mildew, so it can be used when working in damp and warm rooms: baths, saunas or bathrooms.
  • High adhesion to almost all surfaces.
  • The solidified mass has high performance in thermal and sound insulation.
  • Vapors are safe for nature and the ozone layer.
  • When working, it is necessary to avoid inhaling large amounts of gas; it is best to use personal protective equipment.

Scope of application

The popularity of this foam is due to the fact that it can be applied to various surfaces: wood, concrete, gypsum or brick. Considering the high quality, many experienced builders use Tytan for the following jobs:

  • window frames;
  • doorways;
  • various building connections;
  • when sealing cavities;
  • to improve thermal insulation;
  • for additional sound insulation;
  • when gluing tiles;
  • for work with various pipes;
  • when assembling various wooden structures.

Range

When buying polyurethane foam, you need to decide in advance on the front of the work that needs to be done. It is also best to roughly calculate the amount of material that will be needed. The line of Tytan polyurethane foams is represented by a wide range of products for various types of work. All products can be divided into three main groups:

  • One-component formulations are sold with a plastic applicator, which eliminates the need to purchase a pistol.
  • Professional formulations are designated Tytan Professional. The cylinders are prepared for use with a pistol.
  • Compositions for special purposes are used in individual cases when it is necessary to obtain any specific properties from frozen foam.

Studying various types of Tytan polyurethane foam, it is worth paying attention to Tytan-65 foam, which differs from other varieties by one of the highest rates of finished foam output from one cylinder - 65 liters, which is indicated in the name.

Tytan Professional 65 and Tytan Professional 65 Ice (winter) are some of the most common options. In addition to a large amount of ready-made foam, there are several more distinctive properties:

  • ease of use (the cylinder is prepared for the use of a pistol);
  • has high sound insulation - up to 60 dB;
  • used at positive temperatures;
  • has a high class of fire resistance;
  • shelf life - one and a half years.

Tytan Professional Ice 65 differs from many types of polyurethane foams in that it can be used at negative temperatures: at air rates of -20 and a cylinder of -5. Thanks to the use of innovative technologies, even at such low temperatures for work, all properties remain at a high level:

  • The productivity is about 50 liters at low temperatures, with an air rate of +20 the finished foam will be about 60-65 liters.
  • Sound insulation - up to 50 dB.
  • Pre-processing is possible in an hour.
  • There is a wide range of application temperatures: from -20 to +35.
  • It has a middle class of fire resistance.

When working with Tytan 65, it is necessary to clean the surface of ice and moisture, otherwise the foam will not fill the entire space and will lose all its basic properties. The product can easily withstand temperatures down to -40, so it can be used for outdoor work in the middle lane or more southern territories.

After applying the foam, it must be remembered that it will collapse under direct exposure to sunlight, therefore it must be applied between building materials or painted over after it has completely solidified.

The use of professional Tytan 65 polyurethane foam allows you to achieve excellent results: one cylinder will fill a large volume, and the use of a special Tytan Professional Ice compound allows you to work even at low temperatures.
