Boneco is a Swiss company that has been producing various types of HVAC equipment for more than half a century. Devices of this brand are made of the highest quality materials using modern technologies, while each model has a stylish design, so you can always choose the best option for your interior.

Why do you need air washers?

First, a little theory - let's talk about whether it is really necessary to wash the air. Think about it: any room is faced with two main problems - dust and uncomfortable humidity levels. There are many sources of dust, we bring its microparticles on our clothes and shoes, dust blows into the windows from the street, it accumulates on furniture, carpets and soft toys, dust forms from soot particles on the stove and from food residues, it flies off untreated wooden surfaces, and also gets into into the room from down and feather fillers of pillows and mattresses.

A significant "contribution" to the formation of dust is made by computers and household appliances, which attracts these particles like a magnet. And if it is not so difficult to remove it from furniture and the floor, it is almost impossible to get rid of small but numerous volatile particles. But it contains quite dangerous components: dust mite, particles of allergens, harmful resins, salts of heavy metals and sulfur.

It is not surprising that with frequent inhalation of such a "cocktail", the body begins to weaken, immunity falls, a person begins to suffer from allergies, coughs and a runny nose.

An important role in creating a favorable microclimate in an apartment or house is also played by the level of moisture. It is considered normal humidity parameter 40-60%. If the air is drier, then dehydration of the body occurs, while the mucous membrane of the nose and mouth dries up, this leads to diseases of the upper respiratory tract. In addition, electrification of volatile particles takes place in dried air.

Lack of moisture affects not only a person - indoor plants also begin to wither: the leaves curl and turn yellow, and the buds fall off. At the same time, most of the year, air humidity in residential and office premises does not rise above the level of 30%the only exception is the bathroom, where there is usually too much moisture. In winter, the air is dried by heating devices, and in summer by air conditioners. In cities, the situation is complicated by the lack of green spaces - this makes the air even more polluted.

Our mothers and grandmothers fought dry and dusty with wet cleaning. However, this only partially solves the problem. Homebrew methods such as spraying from a spray bottle or placing an open vessel with water in the room are also very ineffective. Much more useful will be modern climatic equipment - humidifiers and vacuum cleaners with a water filter.

However, these devices also solve only part of the tasks of improving the air in a living room and have many side effects. For example, steam humidifiers give an outlet temperature of 50-60 degrees, so their placement near indoor plants and pieces of furniture is unacceptable.

In addition, all types of humidifiers, during prolonged operation, make the room waterlogged, and this also harms the body.

Mechanism of work

The standard work of the Boneco sink includes several procedures:

  • dry and polluted air enters the sink;
  • passes through rotating built-in wet discs;
  • discs retain dirt microparticles on their surface, as well as dust and harmful impurities - they subsequently settle in the pallet;
  • the air is discharged outside, into the living room, already humidified and purified.

The Boneco sink allows you to simultaneously solve the problems of both purifying the air and saturating it with moisture, while there are almost no contraindications for use. Of course, it should be borne in mind that air washing is somewhat inferior in efficiency to traditional air cleaners with a block of built-in filters, but for an ordinary city apartment, if you do not live near a busy highway or construction site, its capacity is more than enough.

Models

Boneco air sinks have established themselves as high quality products, practical and durable. The following models are most popular with consumers.

W1355A

This sink is an air purifier with purifying and humidifying functions. Thanks to the silver ionizing rod, the equipment provides antibacterial protection. The manufacturer has equipped the device with a transparent water tank with a capacity of 5 liters. At night, a mode of comfortable operation with a low noise level is provided. The use of plastic discs provides natural moisture levels.

The Boneco W1355A sink is designed for indoor use up to 50 sq. m. The weight of the structure is 5.9 kg, dimensions - 380x320x425 mm. Powered by 220 V. Among the advantages of the model, users note:

  • a simple principle of operation - the disc rotates by analogy with the blades of a water mill and is constantly washed with water in a pan;
  • the sink does not have any consumables and replaceable filters;
  • if the water level in the tank drops sharply, the system is automatically turned off;
  • equipment care and maintenance are simple and straightforward.

Boneco Air-O-Swiss 1355N

A compact sink that can be used not only at home, but also in offices. The device allows you to provide a favorable indoor climate. This model does not provide for automatic maintenance - first, pour water into a sump with a capacity of 7 liters. At the beginning of operation, the device redistributes the air flow over wet discs, which absorb dirt and dust. The air is discharged from the side, so that consumers do not feel an unpleasant breath.

Among the advantages of the model, users note almost complete noiselessness, which allows the system to be used in homes with small children. Thanks to the transparent reservoir, the volume of liquid in the compartment can be controlled.

The device is equipped with a silver rod, which produces additional ionization of the air.

Boneco 2055DR

Quite expensive car wash, which is an air cleaner with an effective system for cleaning polluted air. The system has a built-in ionizer, which contributes to the creation of freshness and antibacterial treatment of the room. During cleaning, the air is gently humidified, while the structure is reinforced with an electronic hygrostat, thanks to which the humidity level can be kept under control.

The sink automatically detects the volume of water in the tank, if its quantity is insufficient, the system shuts down spontaneously. Among the advantages of the sink, users note its noiselessness and the absence of consumables that need to be changed regularly.

Boneco W205

The power of this sink is designed to clean indoor air up to 60 sq. m. The internal capacity of the water tank is equivalent to 7 liters. This sink has additional features - air aromatization and fan speed control.

Boneco P2261

The model belongs to the budget segment - the unit comes with a set of filters that need to be changed as it gets dirty. This significantly reduces the attractiveness of the model.At the same time, the device has several additional advantages: built-in timer and ionizer. In addition, the equipment is distinguished by a stylish modern design, and all its main parts are made of high-strength material that practically does not wear out.

Disadvantages of air washes

There is an opinion that air washes are potentially hazardous to health, since bacteria, mold and mildew colonies accumulate in the device body and on its plates. At the same time, they not only multiply inside the unit, but also, together with the outgoing air flows, spread throughout the room, causing microbiological contamination of the biocenosis. Indeed, this phenomenon takes place, but only if the water in the apparatus does not change for a long time.

According to the instruction manual, in order to protect yourself and your family, it is necessary to drain all the contaminated liquid at least once every 3-4 days, thoroughly rinse the parts and fill with clean water.

Other disadvantages of Bonica models are noted:

  • continuous operation of the device is required for effective humidification;
  • sinks are not capable of capturing the smallest allergens, the particles of which are less than 10 microns in size;
  • if the device is supposed to use filters for removable cleaning, they will have to be changed periodically;
  • after a year of use, the silver rod ceases to function and needs to be replaced.

Model selection

Before choosing a Bonica sink model, you need to estimate the dimensions of the room for which the unit is being purchased. If you plan to install it in several rooms in turn, then you need to focus on the most spacious one. A device that is too small will not be able to cope with the task of effectively cleaning a large living room, and too powerful in a small space will take up too much space.

Pay attention to options such as ionization and water disinfection, as well as the ease of disassembling the structure. This will make the device a little more expensive, but its operation will be more effective, and the maintenance of the climatic equipment will become simple and quick.

And, of course, you should study all the reviews about the model you like, its pros, cons and features of use.

In the next video, you will find a brief overview of the Boneco W2055D air washer.
