In arranging a kitchen, a modern person is accustomed to using not only comfortable, but also functional furniture. When it comes to compartments for storing all kinds of jars and bottles, you want them all to be located in one place. The solution to the problem is a cargo or simply a bottle holder. Let's take a closer look at the features of this element of the kitchen set, indicating its varieties, nuances of choice, as well as the optimal location in the kitchen.

What does it look like?

In the classic version, the cargo is a drawer or a so-called basket built into the upper or lower cabinets of the kitchen set. The extension of the bottle-holder is carried out by means of telescopic guides, the front side of the cargo is closed by the front of the furniture. In fact, this is a pull-out shelf unit with narrow shelves with fencing. A variety of products are placed on these shelves. Other modifications differ from the classical type both externally and constructively.

The system of opening and closing the drawer-rack provides protection of stored items from accidental overturning, which ensures their safety. The opening mechanism is convenient: the hostess will not have to worry about constantly slamming cabinet doors and hanging drawers. The number of levels in the bottle-maker may vary. In the classic version, there are two or three of them, while the drawer itself is compact.

The mechanism closes securely without cotton. It moves at a moderate speed when opening and closing. When approaching the joint, it slows down, silently closing with the body. Cargo sizes today can be very diverse. This is explained by the purpose of the box itself.

What are they for?

Cargo can rightfully be called an element of furniture that is involved in creating an atmosphere of home comfort. The bottle holders were originally designed for wine. Today, they store jars and even saucers, which should be at hand. The bottle holder not only allows you to conveniently place the necessary items in the kitchen, but also hides them from view, thereby visually increasing the space and eliminating the feeling of clutter.

It looks different, but its purpose is always the same: to use containers with similar products that are not stored in the refrigerator as efficiently as possible. Cargo can be stored not only by jars of jam, all kinds of seasonings and spices, but also cereals and tea towels. If the modification provides for large areas for placement, kitchen utensils can also be stored on such shelves. The bottle holder is an important piece of furniture, allowing you to organize the placement of different items. It makes it easier to work in the kitchen, simplifies and speeds up the process of cooking and cleaning.

Advantages and disadvantages

The advantages of cargo are:

  • convenience (a lot of items are in one place);
  • organizing the placement of a lot of little things (order);
  • a wide range of shades, modifications and sizes (you can choose for a specific headset or order);
  • different material of manufacture (models are made of wood, plastic, metal);
  • the presence of corner options with the front part located at an angle of 45 degrees (convenience for embedding in various modular kitchen systems);
  • aesthetic appeal (modifications are ergonomic);
  • freeing up space for household items (coffee machine, microwave oven).

The disadvantages of bottle holders are:

  • the need to completely fill the box (when partially loaded, it loses its stability);
  • impossibility of installation in a particularly cramped space (a roll-out system is inconvenient in small kitchens);
  • correct placement and installation (otherwise the benefits of the cargo are reduced);
  • product price (such boxes, as a rule, are not cheap);
  • inconvenience of cleaning the shelves from dirt.

Varieties

There are several criteria to classify kitchen bottle holders. For example, one of the characteristics is the way of installation, dividing modifications into built-in and stand-alone. The first ones provide for embedding in any modular box with the proviso that the cargo will have to be selected for the specific dimensions of the cabinet in which it is planned to be built. The latter are not part of the kitchen set; they can be installed anywhere in the kitchen system. Such options are considered more convenient in terms of purchase, while they can be selected both in the same color scheme with the headset, and in different ones.

As for the design features, the modifications can be conditionally divided into two types: two- and one-level. Two-tier models are considered more practical. The bottles fit perfectly into the slots between the two shelves. Three-tier counterparts are not so practical, but you can put food or bottles on one side here. This is very convenient when it is impossible to purchase a version with a vertical arrangement of objects.

By the type of content, cargo can be classic or combined. The first options involve placing any of the same items (for example, spices and sauces, alcoholic beverages, juices and mixtures for feeding babies). The latter allow you to store objects of different size and height in them.

In addition, modifications can be classified by their appearance: they are open and closed. Open-type options are impractical: dust quickly settles on them, and in addition, such organizers do not hide from sight the abundance of objects that visually conceal the spaciousness of the kitchen. Closed counterparts are considered the best and more practical solution.

According to the type of placement, roll-out cargoes are lower and upper. At the same time, models are set down for objects that are used more often. The installation of bottle-boxes in the upper cabinets is suitable when it is planned to store dishes or cereals in them.

Among the retractable modifications there are so-called column cabinets. In fact, these are tall bottle holders built into the corresponding kitchen furniture. The height of the frame of such products can vary from 160 to 180 cm. In this case, the width will be from 15 to 20 cm. In such varieties, there are four or five sections. In addition, the structure has plastic trays, various pallets and even hooks.

Where is the best location?

Often, the bottle-holder is placed between the modules of the kitchen set, holding it due to the side attachment. However, if necessary, you can choose an option that will not depend on the sequence of modules. The bottle holder built into the kitchen unit can be positioned in different ways. It depends on what exactly it is planned to use it for.

  • If a drawer with shelves is used for its intended purpose (for storing wine), it is more advisable to install it closer to the dining table, but farther from the stove.
  • When it is decided to use a bottle holder for storing kitchen utensils and other utensils, the most convenient location option would be to place it closer to the stove.
  • If the hostess plans to store kitchen towels, plastic bags, as well as cleaning and detergents in the cargo, it is quite logical to place a box with a bottle near the sink or washing machine.
  • To minimize the ingress of dirt on jars, seasonings or spices, you can install a cargo with an overhead cabinet.
  • When the box is planned to be used for storing cereals or cereals, it is better to place it near the refrigerator.

An equally important factor in placement is the type of attachment, which can be bottom or side. In the first case, you can place the cargo anywhere. The side option will restrict the placement to the selection of the appropriate module to which the bottle holder will be attached. As a rule, fasteners are included with the product.

Bottom mounting means installation in a ready-made cabinet. The telescopic mechanism is fixed to the bottom of the lower box, the runners are mounted on the bottom of the curbstone. In addition, during installation, a small gap between the floor elements of the kitchen set may be allowed. Can be purchased on casters.

Selection recommendations

When purchasing cargo for your kitchen, you need to rely not only on aesthetic appeal: functionality is of great importance. It is important to mark the required sizes in advance, correlating them with the items that should fit inside the bottle holder. For example, 10 cm is quite enough for a bottle of oil, the cargo width for storing detergents should be at least 15 cm. It is better to store cereals in a model with a width of 20 cm. The coating can be chrome-plated.

According to the storage rules, the number of shelves is not accidental. You need to pay attention to the fact that tall bottles fit on the top shelf. The bottom one is usually meant for small containers. If you decide to buy a single-tier version, then towels will be stored on its top, and tall bottles at the bottom. Modifications of the three-tiered type are suitable for those who always have a lot of all kinds of bottles with spices and sauces in their kitchen.

To take the product correctly, do not forget about the type of attachment. For example, the bottom mount is considered to be more stable. This allows you to purchase a wider basket (say, more than 25 cm wide). As for the size of a specific model, these parameters are selected individually based on the location and the available kitchen unit.

By the way, it is the dimensions that will determine the name of the cargo: specifically, the bottle holders are narrow, but the baskets can freely place kitchen utensils. For example, a standard section does not exceed 20 cm. The design of the basket can be up to 40 cm or more. The required option must be selected with exactly the same width of the existing front of the headset module. The height of the product is matched to the height of the headset. Otherwise, the product will either fail to be built in, or it will look scattered against the general background of the interior composition.

Speaking of functionality, you can take into account the design nuances of modifications. For example, you can purchase an option with an upper shelf specifically for dishes and lower compartments for cereals and large two-liter bottles. In this case, the upper part of the cargo can have hooks on which the hostess can hang metal dishes.

If you approach the purchase issue more scrupulously, you can choose a cargo option with lattice compartments for each shelf. This is very convenient for those who really have a lot of small jars. In this case, the location of the shelves can be chosen in such a way that the necessary spices are at the top, and the lower shelf is reserved for bottles of alcohol.

To store towels and small household items, you can buy a wooden bottle holder not with fences, but with plastic containers. This is very convenient, since such models provide additional protection for stored items from accidental dropping and damage.

Towels inside the cargo are stored in rolls, small things - laid on one side. Dividing the box into several compartments allows the hostess to remove similar items in them, which will further reduce the time it takes to find the right one.

Examples in the interior

Nothing will tell you about a product better than illustrative examples. We suggest referring to the options for the photo gallery.
