If someone thinks that bedbugs are a relic of the past, and if they live somewhere, only in completely neglected housing, he is probably mistaken. Any person living in the hostel can meet with bed bugs. Even in a new building, this unpleasant meeting can happen, no one is immune from it.

To exterminate bedbugs, you can call a special service. True, such a service will not be cheap. An alternative is to use bug sprays.

Peculiarities

Bed bugs are not the most active carriers of diseases, but this does not make such a neighborhood more pleasant for a person. Bedbug bites can provoke an allergic reaction, and a rather serious... In some people, a bug bite causes an asthma attack. Finally, a person who knows that bedbugs are found in the house loses sleep, becomes restless, that is, his mental state deteriorates noticeably.

Sprays and aerosols (by the way, they are not the same thing) help to cope with pests without the involvement of specialists.

Sprays and aerosols have their own characteristics.

  • The liquid in the aerosol can is under pressure. During spraying, the liquid is forced out through the small hole. A substance with a foggy consistency appears. And this tool lasts about 3 days on surfaces. The strongest aerosol effect is in the first few hours after spraying.
  • A spray is a liquid substance that can be made from a powdery composition. It is sprayed with a spray bottle, but not under pressure. The insecticide in the spray is released in larger particles.

We can say that spray is slightly more effective than aerosol, because it leaves a dense film of the substance on the surface... In modern aerosols, very effective substances are used that act quickly against bedbugs. They work for several days in a row, and sometimes for 2 weeks. Although, of course, efficiency decreases over time. Whichever option is chosen, the processing of the premises is carried out twice, a break of a couple of weeks is required.

Aerosols are chosen, paying attention to different criteria: composition, duration of action, area of application and strength of smell. And, of course, the price also matters.

Funds overview

You can understand that bedbugs are found in the house by several signs:

  • red spots appear on the body after a night's sleep in the form of tracks;
  • there may be stains of blood on the linen, which oozes from wounds after bedbug bites;
  • the smell of acidified raspberries can also indicate an invasion of bedbugs.

Once a problem is found, it needs to be blocked to prevent the bugs from multiplying.

There are a number of popular products that are in demand and collect good reviews on thematic sites.

  • "Raptor"... Hardly anyone has not heard the name of this brand. The technology behind the development of the aerosol is aimed at destroying the bed bugs in the apartment. And if it is a highly specialized team, it is logical to expect more efficiency from it. The Raptor contains alphacypermethrin, a well-known pyrethroid insecticide. Within 15 minutes after treatment, it will begin to act. The product works almost 100%, insects do not develop immunity to it for a long time. There are no ozone depleting components in the composition.

Of the minuses - the need for compulsory ventilation 15 minutes after use, the requirement to spray only with rubber gloves and a pungent, difficult-to-erase odor.

  • Raid Lavender... This is a universal remedy that, in addition to bedbugs, promises to destroy cockroaches and ants. There is no unpleasant smell, there is only the scent of lavender - for some it is intrusive, for someone, on the contrary, pleasant. The product has a large volume: 300 ml, that is, the composition will be consumed for a long time. It is prescribed to spray the product strictly in the center of the room, without getting them on things. After application, the room must be ventilated for at least half an hour. Convenient by the presence of a lid, which is a spray, the simplicity of the scheme of use, and a long action. It is comfortable to hold in the hand, it affects both adults and larvae.
  • "Clean House Dichlorvos"... Sold in a bottle with a volume of 150 ml. This is enough, on average, to process one large room. Within half an hour after spraying, the bugs are supposed to be destroyed. You need to spray the aerosol from the center of the room, you can do this at any time of the year. In addition to bedbugs, it destroys moths, ants, wasps, cockroaches, flies. Leaves no traces on walls and things. It is considered harmless to human health. A non-toxic product with a completely tolerable odor is versatile, safe, and can be stored for a long time, it will not deteriorate.

After processing, you need to leave the house for at least a couple of hours.

  • Dichlorvos Neo... Destroys flying and crawling insects. Contains substances from the pyrethroid group. A whole combination of these substances is used in the formula of the product, which should increase its effectiveness. Destroys adult bugs and larvae, but not eggs. For this reason, the aerosol is reused, no earlier than a week after the first treatment, and no later than 2 weeks later.
  • "Combat"... This product has a mild, even pleasant smell. It is not dangerous for children and pets, and this makes the product in demand and highly competitive. It contains 2 components that have different effects: one kills the insect, the second is needed to prolong the action of the aerosol. The product has a volume of 500 ml, which makes it very beneficial.

Also, this composition has a 3 safety group, and therefore it is used, for example, in kindergartens and hospitals.

  • "On the spot"... Russian aerosol for the rapid destruction of bed bugs. It promises a long-term effect, has practically no smell (and this distinguishes it favorably from many other means). It is not difficult to apply the composition: first, the bottle is shaken, then sprayed at a distance of 20 cm from the surface. The bottle fits well in the hand, the outlet is not clogged after use. The cap of the product is tightly fixed, so small children, if they get a dangerous product in their hands, will not be able to open it. One of the best products in terms of price-quality ratio.

  • "Karbazol"... This product works on malathion - a contact action insecticide. When it enters the body of a bug, it causes paralysis in it, since the central nervous system refuses. The product is supplemented with a pleasant coffee aroma, but when ventilated, it quickly disappears from the room. However, not everyone is happy with the product, reviews differ. Someone thinks that the problem is being solved flawlessly, to someone “Karbazol” seems rather weak. Probably, the point is in the severity of the infestation of bedbugs. The room can be processed with it only once, the product is considered toxic.

You need to work in a respirator, and after processing, leave the house for several hours.

  • "Kra-killer"... This composition also does not have a persistent odor; the action on bedbugs promises 72 hours. The formula contains permethrin and cypermethrin. The company that produces this product has a slogan "Take no prisoners." It is assumed that one treatment will be enough to kill bed bugs.

If aerosols don't seem to work well enough, you can try using a spray. And in that and in another case, you need to observe safety measures.

Mode of application

Almost all products offered by manufacturers can be used at any time of the weather. The temperature at which the aerosol can be used is from + 10 °.

There are rules for the use of products.

  • It is better to take everyone out of the house before the procedure., and not just children and animals, at least for a few hours.
  • All food must be refrigerated... Flowers are rarely transferred to another room, but for reassurance, it is better to do this too.
  • After 15-30 minutes (you need to read the instructions for a specific drug), the room in which the treatment was carried out is ventilated... After the windows or vents are open, it is better for everyone to leave the house.
  • After airing, the room should be cleaned... It is necessary to carry out a standard wet cleaning. Wash all surfaces with which a person comes into contact with soapy water. But those places with which a person usually does not contact do not need to be wiped - the agent will remain on them and continue to affect the pest.
  • You need to handle the room in a respirator, goggles and gloves.... Even if it seems that the procedure is a matter of a minute, such intensive preparation is required. Any composition cannot be called absolutely harmless.
  • If there is an aquarium with fish in the room, it is not necessary to take it out.... But it is worth covering with a thick blanket, having turned off the compressor in advance.
  • All textiles, which was in the places of the alleged habitat of bedbugs, must be washed.

If aerosols don't work, you can try sprays, powders, gels, and other products.
