Comfortable kitchen chairs are not a luxury but a necessity. Of course, you can eat from a frying pan, standing at the stove, dancing in one place, but you cannot get pleasure from the process. One of the most comfortable chairs is ikeevsky. The general concept of the company speaks in their favor - comfort, pleasant appearance, low cost and the ability to combine with any furniture from the same store.

Peculiarities

The main feature of ikea kitchen chairs is their compactness while maintaining full comfort. The main condition in the development of design is ergonomics in space, however, all the standard requirements for kitchen furniture are followed exactly. For example, the size of the seat of kitchen chairs can be from 40 to 60 cm, but at the same time they easily go under the table and do not protrude with their legs out. Convenience is due to the design, which corresponds to the anatomical position of the body while sitting.

The back is made at the optimal angle to allow you to lean back on it in a relaxed state, however, if a strict seating is required (for example, at a formal dinner), then the chairs allow you to move close to the table and provide an even back position without discomfort. Most of the models from the dining group have a backrest that is not deaf.

There is a hole between the seat and the back, which leaves space for the lumbar, but if the back is tightly connected to the seat, then there is a recess in it.

The prefabricated structure, which consists of a frame and a separate seat, allows the buyer to replace not the entire chair, but only its broken part. True, only users of high-tech chairs have such an opportunity.

Wooden chairs have a monolithic structure. Most wooden chairs have a versatile design to match any of Ikea's kitchen tables. Soft seat options available in classic and neoclassical style, there are plastic options in the style of futurism.

Materials (edit)

Like all other furniture from the Scandinavian store, kitchen tables are made from natural materials. If these are wooden models, then they are based on an array of pine, birch, beech or oak. The backrest is made of natural veneer and covered with either a water-based stain or clear acrylic varnish. They fully comply safety and durability standards EN 12520 and EN 1022. The seats in these chairs are made of a chipboard sheet, paint - acrylic.

If the seat provides a soft cover, then it will be made of almost equal proportions of viscose, linen, cotton and polyester. Inside there is polyurethane foam. Since the covers are more than half made of natural fabric, they come with a care instruction.

The solid chair composite is made up of recycled wood and recycled plastic. Someone who, but Ikea knows a lot about the preservation of environmental resources. In their reviews, users note quality of materials, especially natural wood. At the same time, the descriptions of the materials on the site completely coincide with the appearance of the product. The country of manufacture is always indicated (in Russian stores it is most often Ukraine) and the country of the designer (Sweden).

Constructions

All Ikea chairs can be conditionally divided into several design options: classic with a back, folding-folding, solid and stools:

  • Folding chairs made of plastic or wood. Their design is a metal (for a plastic seat) or a wooden frame on which a seat is attached (plastic with holes or wooden slats). The big advantage of these chairs is that when folded, they practically do not take up space; the entire kitchen set of four chairs can be put behind a cabinet or a side end of the refrigerator. A great option for summer cottages with their minimalist design, small kitchens. Also ideal for guest seating.

Separately, I would like to say that the wooden version of the chairs is not very convenient to use without a soft cushion on the seat.

  • Solid chairs more suitable for creating the atmosphere of a small cafe in your own kitchen. A feature of these models is the anatomical shape of the seat with a recess for the sacrum and the curved shape of the back. The seat of the plastic chairs has an anti-slip coating, and the structure of their frame allows them to be stacked vertically.
  • Classic wooden chairs have slatted backs of different designs, but they all retain an anatomical notch for the back and perfectly support the spine. The store offers covers for any classic model that allow you to turn ordinary everyday furniture into an elegant option for a dinner party.
  • Wooden stools they do not look as elegant as chairs, but they can also take their rightful place in a kitchen ensemble, especially if it is made in a pseudo-Russian or rustic style. The rest of the options (plastic, plywood, ladder stools) are suitable only for office use.

Color solutions

Color solutions for dining furniture are either monochrome (white, gray and black chairs) or pastel colors (pink, blue, lilac, beige, gray). There are also bright pure colors (orange, red and yellow), but they are presented in only three models and are more the exception than the rule.

A group of chairs stands out separately from untreated wood or with its minimal processing with stain and clear varnish. All classic models belong to it. The frame models are available in several color combinations: three seat colors (blue, pink and pearl) and three frame colors (white, black and steel). The range includes pink chairs with steel, black or white frames, and so on in every color.

Variants and models

The most interesting thing is the Ikea kitchen chair models. If everything is more or less clear with wooden classics, then plastic frame models, as well as removable structures, are of great interest. Each model has its own "chip", which will not necessarily be repeated in another model.

Plastic Models

Model Odger at an approximate price of 5,000 rubles made of composite material wood + plastic. At the same time, wood and recycled plastic are combined into one material. Its special feature is manual assembly without any tools. It is also great for kitchens with small children on complementary foods, because even dried food is removed from its cover with one movement of a damp cloth.

Model "Leif-arne" (4 600 rubles) has plastic inserts on the legs, which are equipped with a self-regulation system. They allow you to install a chair on any, even a very uneven surface, in a strictly horizontal position, in simple terms - the chair does not swing if the floor is curved under it. The base of the chair is made of steel and the seat is made of reinforced polypropylene. In addition, several chairs can be easily stacked one on top of the other and do not take up much space. There is a second modification of the Leif-Arne model, in which the frame is supplemented with armrests of a special design.

Thanks to them, the chair can be easily hung on the table during cleaning, it will not interfere with washing the floor and will not stain the feet of others.

"Bernhard" (8,500 rubles) has a spring seat, inside of which there is a padding of cold polyurethane foam. The high price of this model is due to the natural leather case, for which proper care is recommended.

"Gunde" (600 rubles) - a folding plastic chair that has a square slot on the handle so that you can hang it on the wall by hooking it onto a wide hook. A feature of this model is the folding system, which allows you to store chairs in a confined space close to each other.

Model "Nisse" (800 rubles), although it has a wider slot on the back than the previous one, it does not differ in particular convenience of storage. If you hang a chair on an ordinary hook-stand, then there is a high probability that the structure will "slide" to any corner of the slot and skew. In addition, when folded, the chairs do not fit snugly together due to the protruding seat. But this is the very rare model, which is made in a bright orange color.

Chair "Terje" (1300 rubles) is not in vain that it is so popular. In addition to the fact that it is very convenient to fold and easily fits behind the door, it is made of solid beech and is presented in the most popular colors.

"Yan-Inge" is generally sold assembled and has a cheerful yellow color. It is designed for those who prefer not to waste time on assembly. The design of the nesting doll requires space for only one chair, and the rest are ideally placed on top.

Wooden models

A popular wooden model of chairs for public places is "Norroker"... It features a durable solid birch surface that gives each chair a unique living wood pattern. The top of the seat is treated with wood stain and acrylic varnish for durability.

Buyers' favorite models for home use are Stefan and Koutsby. They differ in seat width and maximum rider weight (44 cm and 100 kg versus 36 cm and 110 kg, respectively). Both models are made of solid pine and have the same cost of 2,000 rubles. Users note the light weight of the product itself, the increased strength of the base, however, they say that models painted with paint are easily scratched.

Everyone recommends putting a pillow on the seat so that it is not so hard.

Chair with soft seats "Berier", according to user reviews, it is very easy to use and very inconvenient to maintain. Despite the fact that the covers for this model are removable, it is problematic to remove them, they are securely screwed to the seat from the inside of the chair. And these covers get dirty very quickly, because they are light and made of natural fabric. However, with such a shortage, the chairs still earned one of the highest ratings among buyers.
