Rose Amnesia

Varietal rose Amnesia finds a place for itself in any summer cottage. The name of the variety is fully consistent with the type of flower: even if it is discreet at first glance, the contemplation of such a delicate beauty makes you forget about the problems and the intense rhythm of life.

Hybrid Tea Amnesia was bred by the French company NIRP. The name of the company gave rise to the name of the rose not only Amnesia, but also Nirpul. The culture has been popular since 2006.

Amnesia is a medium-sized bush with a height of 80-120 centimeters and a diameter of 70 cm. Dark green medium leaves mainly frame the upper part of the bush, while the lower part is almost non-leafy.

As for the type of flowers, rose lovers have two opinions. Some of the flowers of the variety are categorically disliked, they consider them dull, faded. Others see them as a special, unique beauty. Flowers are painted in an ash-lilac color, and their main color is coffee. The tips of the petals appear slightly silvery, which is already unique to the rose. In general, the shades of the rose look muted and powdered.

The flowers are large and glass-shaped. Densely double specimens reach a diameter of 12 centimeters and are located singly on the stems. Each flower contains 26-40 powdery petals. The peculiarity of the variety is its aroma. It is very weak, almost elusive, but delicate, fresh and delicate.

The main advantages of the variety are the correct, beautiful shape and delicate pastel shade of the petals. Large flowers are pleasing to the eye, continuously appearing on the stems. Roses perfectly resist drought, cold, do not react to rain.

However, not all gardeners are ready to appreciate such specimens. Such a rose cannot become an accent, a bright spot of the site. She can only set off more juicy varieties. In addition, the plant is susceptible to fungal diseases.

Amnesia blooms very richly and continuously. Of course, inflorescences wither over time, but since new ones quickly replace them, the withering process is invisible to the eye. Bloom lasts from July to October.

Basically, these roses are used for group plantings. They can be combined with other flowers, but this should be done carefully, due to the unusual color of the petals of the variety. Single plantings are also acceptable, but in this case decorativeness is slightly reduced. It is also worth noting that the variety is very good for cutting. With a daily change of water, the flowers can stand in a vase for up to 14 days.

Planting Amnesia is recommended in areas with partial shade. Direct sunlight throughout the day can cause foliage burns and burnout of already muted petals. An important point is protection from the wind on the site. The soil for the bushes is chosen fertile, with a loose structure.

You need to plant the bushes in the same way as other varieties of this culture, digging a hole 60 centimeters in diameter and supplementing it with sand and organic fertilizing. When planting, the grafting site of the seedling is buried in the substrate for a couple of centimeters, which will stimulate the rapid growth of the stems.A mandatory moment after disembarkation is abundant watering.

In order for the Amnesia rose to bloom profusely and decorate the site, the plants must be properly watered. The youngest bushes are watered with a small amount of water daily, but when the rose becomes an adult, watering can be reduced to once a week. The correct irrigation option would be a drip system.

Fertilizers for roses should be applied systematically. In general, fertilizers are the same as for other varieties. It is best to take mineral compositions, but organic matter that supplies plants with nitrogen is also suitable in the spring. If you want to add additional potassium, you can feed the bushes with a solution of wood ash.

Pruning will also be an important part of grooming. In spring and autumn, sanitary haircuts are performed to remove dried and diseased stems and foliage. Do not forget to remove faded inflorescences during the summer. It is customary to form a bush by shortening the shoots.

Amnesia resists cold well. The zone of its frost resistance is 6. In regions with a cold climate, a shelter is prepared for the winter. The rose is cut, then its roots are insulated by laying mulch. It is best to use spruce branches, it is placed not only on the ground, but also on the plant itself. And also many gardeners additionally insulate flowers with the help of agromaterials.

Unusual shades of the variety do not strain the eyes, they seem to be invisible, but you can look at them for hours. Roses look so neat that they seem artificial to many. And also this variety does not have any special requirements for care, it grows on almost all soils, except for acidic and heavy soils.

Criticism among gardeners is caused by a considerable susceptibility to black spot. Not all summer residents have bushes that tolerate winter well. Some say that their plants are dying from epidemics of rust, attacks of pests. It is worth choosing places for disembarkation carefully, like the neighborhood of other flowers. Such roses can be categorically incompatible with some other plants, in contrast to the bright varieties. You cannot create an accent with them.
