Advantages and disadvantages

The plant has a number of advantages that distinguish it from other representatives:

  • frost resistance is very good, can be grown in different regions of the country;

  • flowers keep their shape remarkably during the growing season, do not lose this quality when cut;

  • tolerate rainy seasons well;

  • good resistance to a number of diseases.

There are also minor drawbacks that must be taken into account before deciding to grow Amandina on your site:

  • despite the fact that the variety is winter-hardy, shelter will be required in harsh regions;

  • immunity to dew, low spots, prophylaxis is required;

  • the variety requires compliance with the rules of agricultural technology.

Flowering features

Of course, spectacular bloom is the main chic feature of this rose variety. The greenish color of the yellow buds stands out from other plants. The flowering is abundant and continuous, which can be considered another plus of the variety.

Use in landscape design

Representatives of this variety look good both in single plantings and in group ones. In order for the rose bloom to be accentuated on the site, it is best to plant them against the background of conifers or in the foreground of the selected zone. This variety also looks luxurious in composition with cereals, small flowers, aromatic herbs. In the rose garden, it will look very dignified and stylish, well suited for decorating paths in the garden, as a hedge. Do not exclude mixborders, flower beds, rabatki. As for cutting, the flowering retains its aesthetic appearance for about 14 days, flowers rarely fall off.

Landing

First of all, it is important to choose the place correctly, as the rose loves well-lit areas. In the landing zone, the sun should be present for most of the day. In this case, it will be useful to have a light partial shade in the afternoon. It is very important to protect the plant from through winds, so open areas without tall plants are not suitable.But the presence of a shelter should not impede normal air circulation near the bush. Otherwise, the risk of disease and pest attacks increases.

Amandine is quite demanding on the soil, it should be nutritious and light, loose, slightly acidic. Don't forget about quality drainage. The disembarkation process is as follows:

  • a hole is formed on a site selected in advance, depth up to 60 cm;

  • the soil is combined with peat, humus, biohumus;

  • one second part is introduced into the pit, before that a drainage layer of smaller crushed stone is formed;

  • a seedling is placed on a layer of soil mixture, the roots are sprinkled with the second part of the soil;

  • it is better to hold the rhizome in water before planting, 30 minutes is enough;

  • after strengthening, you need to water the plants, sparing no moisture;

  • the trunk circle should be mulched with sawdust, humus and manure.

Growing and care

There is nothing particularly difficult in caring for Amandina, but the standard stages of agricultural technology must be followed in order for the plant to develop flawlessly.

  • Moisturizing and loosening. Watering is carried out in the hot season, during the hot season a couple of times a week, in other periods once a day is enough. The water should be warm, settled, preferably soft. Moisturizing is carried out either in the morning or in the evening. The soil is loosened in the near-trunk zone every two weeks. At the same time, weeds are removed, if necessary.

  • Fertilizer. This variety needs both mineral compositions and organic matter. The latter are introduced exclusively in the spring, when it is required to stimulate the active development of greenery. After the formation of buds, organic compounds must be excluded and replaced with mineral ones. They are brought in even when the rose is blooming dynamically.

  • Pruning and preparing for the winter. This procedure is carried out at the very beginning of the growing season, before the movement of the juice, in the spring. All that is damaged, sick and dead are cut off. In summer, foliage and flowers that dry out are removed from the bush in time. In the fall, the plant is pruned to prepare for frosty periods. The plant is covered with spruce branches, textiles, hilling is carried out with dry soil. And also in the fall, it is important to treat the shrub with fungicides for the prevention of diseases.

Diseases and pests

The most dangerous period in terms of pests is the beginning of the growing process. During the formation of buds and the first leaves, insects lay larvae.

  • Aphid. This insect reproduces incredibly quickly, forming its deposits on the underside of the leaves. Since these pests suck out the juice, the plant withers very quickly. If the situation is not corrected before winter, then frost can negatively affect the plant. To stop attacks or prevent them, in early spring, the rose is treated with insecticidal compositions.

  • Rose leafhopper. Very often it affects the plant, and the larvae are deposited in the fall, and begin to attack in the spring. It is very important to carry out the insecticide treatment on time before winter and spring.

  • Spider mite. A very dangerous insect that is difficult to see with the naked eye. It is also located on the back of the sheet. It is important, when a web is found, to destroy all affected leaves. For treatment, medicinal solutions "Aktellik", "Fitoverm" are used.

There are also diseases against which this variety does not have very good immunity.

  • Powdery mildew. This ailment affects the rose in the second part of the summer period. If you overdo it with nitrogen fertilizing, then the dew develops very actively. The first symptoms are spotting and gray bloom. To cure the bush, you need to spray with sulfur or soap-copper solutions.

  • Escape burns. If the bush is damaged in any way - frost, sun, mechanics, the likelihood of a burn increases. As a result, blackish spots appear. It is necessary to treat the plant by spraying with Bordeaux composition.

  • Rust. A fungal disease that affects the foliage and shoots of the bush, a spotting of the color characteristic of rust is formed on them. This ailment negatively affects frost resistance, decorative qualities.Treatment measures - spraying with Bordeaux composition.
