Among the disadvantages are the impossibility of planting roses in open ground in the northern regions and the low resistance of plants to frost.

Flowering features

Alenushka's large bush produces arched branches, each of which has 3 brushes. During the flowering period, the rose forms beautiful cupped buds of a pleasant pink or lavender shade, resistant to fading. Over time, the flowers acquire a darker tone and actively bloom, reaching a diameter of up to 16 cm.

Use in landscape design

The hybrid tea variety is mainly used to create rose gardens or cut cultivation. Landscape designers value bushes for their quick survival rate. In addition, Alyonushka can become a real decoration of any composition thanks to the optimal height of the bushes and large buds.

Growing regions

The Alenushka variety is actively grown in the southern regions of Russia. In more northern regions, the bushes are planted mainly in greenhouses in order to obtain a vase-resistant cut.

Landing

The optimal time for planting Alyonushka is late spring or early summer. Before planting, you should take care of the seedlings and harden future bushes by placing them in a shaded place with a low temperature.

Planting prepared seedlings is carried out in warm and sunny weather, when the soil temperature rises to 12 degrees Celsius. Recommendations for choosing a site:

  • the place should be sunny and calm;
  • the groundwater level must be low, otherwise drainage should be provided;
  • the soil should be fertile and loose.

To achieve the desired results, it is recommended to thoroughly dig up the soil before planting and apply fertilizers that can reduce the acidity of the soil to neutral indicators. The size of the planting hole should be such that the root system of the seedling is completely included, and it can be covered with earth.

Growing and care

After planting roses, it is worth taking care of the care of the crop.

  1. Watering. Young seedlings are advised to water every 2-3 days using warm and settled water.When the rose takes root and shoots, watering can be reduced to once every 1-1.5 weeks, taking into account the weather conditions.
  2. Top dressing. The rose likes fertilizers, therefore, on average, gardeners are advised to apply fertilizing 2-3 times per season. The first time fertilizers should be used a week after planting seedlings in the ground, giving preference to nutrient solutions or organic matter. Subsequently, it will be necessary to add mineral complexes when the rose begins to form buds and release shoots.
  3. Loosening and weeding. Mandatory procedures that will help clear the area of weeds, accelerate the flow of nutrients to the root system of Alyonushka and prevent the spread of diseases and pests.

Additionally, you should take care of pruning the bushes. On average, the procedure is carried out 3 times per season. Two sanitary pruning is done in the spring and fall, removing dry or damaged branches. Additionally, the bushes are pruned during the flowering period, eliminating dry or faded buds in order to prevent the rose from developing a seed box.

Frost resistance and preparation for winter

Alyonushka is not able to boast of excellent frost resistance. Therefore, before the onset of frost, it is recommended to cover the bush with a cardboard box and additionally fill the interior space with dry foliage or sawdust.

In spring, the cover should be removed gradually, freeing the rose layer by layer. However, it is not necessary to throw away sawdust, they can act as a layer of mulch, which will provide the flower with additional nutrients and accelerate growth.

Rosa Alyonushka has a rather strong immunity, but with improper care, the likelihood of developing fungal diseases is high. As a prophylaxis for such an ailment, gardeners advise using folk remedies, as well as thinning the bushes and conducting moderate watering, preventing moisture from stagnating in the soil. As for pests, the rose is often attacked:

  • spider mite;
  • caterpillars;
  • leaf rollers;
