A dishwasher is no more difficult to disassemble than a washing machine. The dishwasher contains for the most part the same blocks and assemblies that are installed in the automatic washing machine.

Preparation

Before disassembling the dishwasher, prepare for the upcoming work:

  • move away, take out things and objects that interfere with work: the workplace should be as free as possible for further actions;
  • de-energize the machine by removing the plug from the socket;
  • turn off the valve of the pipeline through which water enters the tank of the machine.

Inspect the screws that were used by the manufacturer when assembling the machine. Bosch and Siemens devices, for example, have pentalobe screws. This is done so that the user cannot unscrew the device into its constituent elements with an ordinary Phillips screwdriver. Built-in devices do not have a replaceable upper part of the body and steel sides.

Some of the dishwashers are considered partially built-in: they can not be placed in a special shelf in kitchen furniture. With the upper part of the case dismantled, they are installed under the table or cabinet cover, complementing the furniture item from the front with their appearance, since the cabinet or shelf door is removed when installing equipment inside the compartment.

Next, do the following:

  • prepare a set of screwdrivers and keys, pliers;
  • disconnect the discharge and drain hoses;
  • open the door and remove the grid inserts for dishes and attachments;
  • remove the remaining water from the tank, if any;
  • during parsing, the last residues of water should pour out from the pipelines;
  • transfer the typewriter to the table where it will be disassembled.

Prepare bags and / or boxes for collecting small parts. Capture the entire assembly process with your smartphone camera: this measure will help you not to forget where what stood and in what order it should be installed back.

This is especially true for piping and internal wiring of the device.

Disassembly technology

The Bosch dishwasher will be disassembled according to the following step-by-step instructions.

  • Open the appliance door. From the inside, locate and remove the screws holding the front of the case. If the model is a built-in model, additional screws hold the protective wall to which, in turn, the furniture facade is attached.
  • Dismantle the front panel. This will open access to the internal components of the door and to the button (or touch) control panel of the device.
  • Remove the screws holding the button panel (or sensor).
  • Detach the keypad from the door.
  • Disconnect the terminals, having previously photographed their location.
  • Disassemble the wiring and remove the screening curtain and the lock element from the button panel.
  • Unscrew the screws holding the control board. Take it off.
  • Remove the door. Further analysis involves the removal of screws on the parts connecting it to the hinge hangers. Remove the springs near the hinges. The door is completely removed.
  • Remove the wires that fit the door.
  • Remove the functional units required for the hood and drying of the dishes washed in the dishwasher. The fan and ventilation duct are removed sequentially. But not vice versa, since in most models, the exhaust duct cannot be removed without removing the impeller with the motor.
  • Remove the dishwashing detergent dispensing unit.
  • Remove the rinsing device. The dishwasher door compartment is completely removed and disassembled.
  • To get access to the dishwasher components located in the area of the main tank, dismantle the main part of the structure on which they are located. For this, the sprinkler and filter flaps are removed. Then the screws holding the capillary of the atomizer are unscrewed.
  • Unscrew the bolts holding the slide stand mount. Also remove the other bolts and supporting elements.
  • Remove the thermal insulation layer and sidewalls.
  • Turn the dishwasher upside down. It is possible that residual water will pour out of the pipes and channels of the device. Some craftsmen put the machine in the bathtub: it is important that splashes and drops of water do not fall on the control board. If this happens, the latter should be dried with a hair dryer as soon as possible. You cannot turn on wet electronics: water with a small amount of conductive impurities is a good conductor. And since in the processor and microcontrollers there are low voltages in tenths and hundredths of a volt, then the hit of several volts is already guaranteed to "kill" the software part.
  • Bosch cars use a support mount that is bolted at the corners. The base can be removed by unscrewing it from the frame. But to do this, dismantle the injection pump, which is attached to the pallet. Some Bosch models allow it to be removed independently of the pallet. The pump can be held in place with elastic bands that are easy to remove. Remove the fill line with the pump.
  • After removing the base, components are exposed to be repaired or replaced with new ones. They need to be replaced with identical ones, in exactly the same design as the old ones: the principle of compatibility does not always work here.
  • To dismantle the drain pump, turn the latch clockwise, separating the drain line first.
  • Remove the power wires suitable for the heat blower. Unscrew one or more bolts holding it in place. Remove this boiler from the sump reservoir. In Bosch devices, flow-through heating elements are used.
  • To remove the pressure switch, unscrew and remove the tube.

The analysis of the machine is over.

Recommendations

If any of the elements or components cannot be removed, in no case use force: not all components will withstand this. In places where a thin point is needed for prying, do not use a thick-walled mounting spade. Do not twist the nuts with pliers - you will tear off the edges.

If you are unsure, read the instructions of specific experienced craftsmen who have previously disassembled dishwashers of this particular company. It is better to wait, but get an exhaustive solution than to disassemble the equipment out of inexperience in such a way that only a major overhaul (replacement of damaged parts) would help.
