All about removing stumps with nitrate

All owners of suburban areas try to keep them tidy. They clear the area from dry leaves, weeds, and remove stumps. Wood residues with roots deep in the ground can be removed not only by uprooting, but also by chemical methods. Quite often for this purpose they use saltpeter.

A preparation containing nitric acid salts, if used correctly, will provide the desired effect. The main thing is to understand the principle of its action, to understand how much to apply.

Removal of stumps with nitrate allows you to get rid of tree carcasses without uprooting. The second method takes a lot of time and effort, so the first is more preferable. The chemical method of eliminating obsolete trees, or rather their stumps, is considered one of the most effective. The use of reagents with a powerful effect stimulates the destruction of dried trunks.

Saltpeter belongs to the group of nitric acid salt compounds. It is a small crystal that dissolves quickly in water. Ammonium and other types of nitrate are used to remove stumps, in addition, it serves as an effective fertilizer. With the help of it, plants are cultivated on private farms and in industrial agricultural complexes.

Some owners of suburban areas who decide to burn stumps even turn to the nearest department of the Ministry of Emergencies for permission to carry out such a manipulation. This avoids a large penalty for arbitrariness.

Chemically burning a tree stump is best done with saltpeter. Avoid using other substances, especially those containing glyphosate. They provide effective destruction of wood, allow you to get rid of roots, but do not decompose in the ground. They get into plants, and then together with the fruits - into the human body.

Using a drill, form 10-15mm holes in the cut trees.

When performing external drilling, observe an angle of 20-40 degrees - this will prevent the saltpeter crystals from spilling out of the holes.

1. Fill the grooves in the hemp with the chemical. The reagent is poured to the very top.
2. Drizzle with water so that the reagent settles.
3. Plug the holes with a plug (you can use clay or plasticine, make a wooden plug from a thick branch, ensuring it fits snugly).

Usually, the decomposition process under the influence of nitrate takes several months. After 1-2 years, dig in the stump and make a fire around it. Monitor the process to prevent the spread of flames to nearby plantings and structures.

During the maturation of the hemp, the soil around it will be enriched with nitrogen under the influence of chemicals. This will contribute to the increased growth of ornamental crops, will allow you to get a good harvest. But only if the plants are planted at a distance of 4-5 meters from the zone treated with the reagent.

Saltpeter will provide complete disposal of hemp on the site, make it suitable for growing useful plants and building. The chemical method cannot become a full-fledged substitute for uprooting, but it is the most reliable method of dealing with wild plantings and root infections.
